The Next Big Thing

Good mornin! I’d like to thank Julie Lynn Hayes for inviting me.

Here is my next big thing.

What is your working title of your book?
My Lieutenant 2: In His Arms. Not working, it is!
Where did the idea come from for the book?
My Lieutenant 1 was previously released. I love this couple and couldn’t leave them alone! A romantic comedy about 2 men who are vastly different that fall in love.
What genre does your book fall under?
MM Romance
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
Hmm, well, John Taylor from Duran Duran is Nathan because of his look. He used to be an actor back in the 90’s. Boris Kodjoe plays Lt. Bryant Duncan.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Two men from different worlds looking for a happy ever after.
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
It will be out from Rebel Ink on November 3rd!
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
About a month. I knew these two like the back of my hand.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
Um, I’d say Somathesia without the sci-fi. Its an interracial mm but mine has less tension.
Who or what inspired you to write this book?
Ah John and Boris. They just look so good together. Rawiya thought it would be a great idea as well.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
It’s a romance with snark. You should maybe read the first one too to get Nathan’s input. This book is about Bryant and his side of the story.
Hope you’re interested in reading the book. If you still haven’t read book one, here is a link.
Also, here are a few others doing the next big thing:
